Desıgn

I had the privilege of being a teaching assistant for a project developed at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) that utilized cutting-edge technology to create a stunning installation using leftover steel rebars from the construction industry. The project involved the use of computational design tools to create a complex shape that was both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The design process was guided by advanced software tools that allowed us to create precise 3D models of the installation. These models were then used to program the robotic arm that we used to bend the steel rebars into the required shapes.

Robotic fabrication played a crucial role in the success of the project. By using a robotic arm to bend the steel rebars, we were able to achieve a level of precision that would have been impossible using traditional fabrication techniques. Additionally, the use of a robotic arm allowed us to complete the fabrication process quickly and efficiently. We were able to produce a large number of identical pieces in a fraction of the time it would have taken using manual methods.
